Green Thumb

I had wanted to plant some flowers this summer but never got around to doing it before I left for my cross country trip. While in Atlanta, I found some really cute flower stands at Jo-Ann's for 70% OFF! Kate and I discussed them and I hemmed and hawed about purchasing them, but Kate said one of us was going home with them and I really did need some cute plant stands, right? Well, I purchased them and found room for them in the car.

After arriving home, I set them up outside our front door and just this week FINALLY got around to planting some flowers in them. When I went to the nursery, they said they didn't have many potting plants left, so I didn't have much of a choice in what was available. Some poor forgotten geraniums became mine and were given a home.

Maybe next summer I won't wait so long to get my green thumb in gear and will plant sooner with more choices! All in all I think they turned out cute, now if I can just keep them alive....
