Welcome Home!

I have survived! My sweet husband and I will have been apart for 356 days. As this deployment QUICKLY comes to an end I want to thank all of our family and friends for the support you've given to both of us through this very challenging time in our lives and our marriage. My husband has been gone for so long it's hard to believe that it's almost over and that he's coming HOME!

I have so many emotions running through me right now, I can't believe we've made it! I am excited, scared, happy, and nervous all at once. While we have been apart, I have developed my routine so I could get through each day and now it's all going to change, but the change is definitely for the better...we will get to see each other everyday! I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to come home from work, make dinner, and then spend the entire evening TOGETHER {and NOT on Skype}! I can't wait to be able to call him whenever I want, I can't wait to feel relief flow through me knowing he's not on the other side of the world, I can't wait to just live life together and enjoy every single second.

The time we have spent apart has made me realize that we need to cherish the time we do have together. I am more convinced than ever that distance does make the heart grow fonder and we have a lot of catching up to do! This deployment has made me think about how we treat one another and how precious it is to be sure to hug often and love much {not to be cliche' or anything}. I will never again take for granted having my husband around. We are a team and we face each challenge and each joy together--no matter what.
