Today I went to my first Kansas State football game! Although I'm a Florida girl through and through, today I was rooting for the Wildcats! The morning was cloudy and it looked like it was going to rain, but we went anyway. It was Military Appreciation Day and we were able to get FREE tickets! I went with my friends Jenny and Nicole.

Go Big Red One!
All the soldiers that attended the game today got to march in with the Kansas State Marching Band. It was so fun watching them all come in. They played the Star Bangled Banner and we got to watch the change of colors and say the Pledge of Alliegence.
I saw one of my students at the game. They are a military family also and were there to participate in the half-time military appreciation show. Ethan is such a sweetheart and I couldn't resist taking a picture with him!
Ten minutes into the game, the weather took a turn for the worst and they suspended the game and we were told to seek shelter {something this Florida girl was FREAKING out about}. As you can see the clouds were super dark and they were swirling, something you never want to see {especially in Kansas!}.
Another shot of the eery, dark, swirling clouds!
They put everyone in the basketball stadium for shelter. We ended up spending about 30 minutes in there just hanging out. What a way to spend a Saturday! After the storm passed, they resumed the game, but this girl had had enough. Nicole and I were party poopers and went home. Jenny stayed for the rest of the game and said it was fun.
Kansas State pulled out a win too!
