We'll start first with the food {because it's always fun to talk about food!} We had a variety of fresh fruits and veggies, marinated cheese and crackers, fresh whipped cream, and a hearty wild rice chicken dish that I personally requested Christin make.
And for later, we had individual cakes with homemade butter cream frosting...so good!
A shower wouldn't be complete without fun games, right?! So...we had several of those and I highlighted them in the next several pictures. I wasn't too good with them, but had fun anyways!
Here are Crystal and I playing the "find the safety pins in the rice" game, she was so serious about it! You wouldn't think it, but rice and safety pins have the same texture when you can't see them. The goal was to be the one to get the most pins. Megan won this game, she got 19!
Christin is explaining the next activity, a scrapbooking idea where you decorate a piece of paper and write down your most favorite childhood memory. Christin is going to collect them all and put together a memory book for our little guy. I'll be able to add pictures to it, I really liked this idea!
Here is the collection of all our cards, don't they look great?! Their in our nursery colors too, nice touch girls!
Then it was on to the presents! I was excited about opening them and seeing what goodies were inside!
Thanks for the hooded bath towel Kay! Always a must have, especially with the washcloths you got too. We appreciate them!
Bath toys for our little man when he gets old enough to play in the tub! Another winner!
I also got an infant safety kit and a grow with me medicine dispensing kit, all things that are necessities for infant care. Thanks Megan!
Some fun shots of good friends follow....it was a great shower! Mark and I had a great time and really appreciate all the thought and care that went into planning it.
Mark and I are so blessed to have such great friends, we love you all and can't wait for everyone to meet our little man! Thank you again!
What a fun baby shower! It's always great when the showers start happening and make you really excited to meet your new baby!
