Two years ago my mom gave me the best Christmas gift ever {although at the time I didn't appreciate it fully}. My mom made a cookbook of all the recipes she made for our family when I was a child. There are holiday recipes, birthday recipes, favorite recipes, and some I never really liked but as an adult want to try.
Over the last few months, I have used this cookbook for many recipes. I referred back to it for a cookie recipe I remember my mom making around Halloween, I used it for my favorite Thanksgiving salad recipe just last week, and today I used it for my mom's pumpkin bread recipe.

This book is a treasure and I now fully understand the significance of it. I will truly treasure it for the rest of my life and hopefully the rest of my children's lives as well. I want to pass on these recipes for generations.
Thanks Mom!
What a special gift! I love how a special recipe can bring back lots of memories. You'll have to add your own memories to it to pass on.
