Week 1
So this was my first full week on Weight Watchers. I lost 1.4 pounds, which isn't bad but I was hoping for more. I had a rough week as far as tracking all my points and exercising, but I will do better next week! I did try some new recipes and then when I made our old standbys, I tried to estimate the points as best as I could. I find it a challenge to do WW now that I am married--before it was just me and I could make anything for dinner that I wanted and do "single" serving types of meals. Lucky for me though, I have a wonderfully supportive husband who will eat anything I make and I need to take full advantage of that while on WW.
This week's meeting topic was about taking time for myself. I need to carve out time that's just for me, I'm thinking of getting up early before work to get my exercise in so I don't have to worry about doing it after work. I also need to take time out to just relax. These are my new goals for this next week. I CAN do this!
Good job Emily! My first week was the hardest. It helps so much that you have a great husband by your side! Keep up the good work... slow and steady wins the race! I agree about it being harder married (not to mention having a picky toddler!)
ReplyDelete1.4 pounds is awesome! The slower and steadier you take it off, the more likely it is that it will stay off. It has to be about lifestyle change rather than dieting and it sounds like you've got a great plan for that. Also, I completely understand how challenging it can be to create healthy meals for two and keep track of calories/points. It isn't like you just throw a lean cuisine in the microwave. lol Congrats on a first great week and good luck in the upcoming ones :)
ReplyDeleteI think 1.4 lbs is great news. I've always heard that 1-2 lbs per week is the ideal pace for a healthy weight loss. It helps me to look at the progress for the month. Originally, I aimed for 5 lbs per month, so it was even more exciting when I lost above and beyond that. Keep up the great work!
