goodbye 32.....hello 33!

I turned 33 yesterday! I had a great birthday thanks in large part to all my wonderful friends and family. I had to return to work, {my birthday always falls on the day we return from Christmas break!} but easing back into my regular schedule was good for me and while working hard at school my sweet husband sent me beautiful flowers all the way from Iraq {thanks sweetie, I love you!}

In the evening I went to a Yellow Ribbon Social event for spouses of deployed soldiers and as always I had a blast! It's always fun to get out of the house and spend time with fellow military wives. Being that it was my birthday made it all the more fun and I even won my dinner for free... happy birthday to me!



To top off the day, I treated myself to a personal sized piece of birthday cake made by my friendly local Hyvee grocery store! Lighting a candle and making a wish ended my birthday, but opened up my hopes and dreams for this next year. I can't wait to see what it holds!
