Beach and a Fish Fry!

Today Sarah and I ventured out to Pensacola Beach. We always love to see the beach when we're home and this year with the horrible oil spill that happened, we wanted to see it before the true effects of the oil takes it's toll. We had heard that oil was washing up on shore and that people weren't allowed to swim in certain areas of the water. I didn't want to swim in the water, but I did want to see the beautiful white sand and soak in some sun! Thankfully, the sand wasn't too bad and it still resembled the white sand beaches I knew while growing up.

I really enjoyed the time we spent at the beach today, it makes me appreciate it that much more now and I'm praying that this oil spill doesn't totally ruin the beach so we can continue to enjoy it for years to come.

Not something you usually see at the beach, there were constant reminders of the oil spill everywhere.

Later that evening my parents hosted a fish fry for some friends of theirs. I practiced using my camera some more. The food was good {I did try a piece of fish} and we enjoyed the cooler air in the evening while sitting outside by the pool. My dad has been a good sport while I've taken on my new picture obsession, smiling and posing for the camera for mundane things like frying fish, thanks dad!
